Saturday

She started coughing the night before.  I didn’t think much of it.  She’s coughed like that before.

I took her to the Cubs game during the day on Saturday.  It was Dora day.  We didn’t plan it around getting the doll, had tickets anyways, but she did get a doll.  But she kept coughing and started complaining about a stomach ache.

She finally took a nap around 5pm.

I called the doctor around 7:30.  They suggested we go the ER if she was having difficulty breathing.  She was.

But I was at home with C and she was still at Grandmas.  So I called Grandma and asked her to pack her up.

I wasn’t really worried but for some reason I could hardly breath/concentrate.  I think it had a lot to do with where I was driving.  C was in the back seat.  I just didn’t know what’s going on w/me, but I knew I didn’t feel right.  I try to call a few people but that didn’t help.  I’m guessing it was anxiety.  I made it to the hospital fine but that was zero fun.  Kind of a wakeup call that I’m not really doing as okay as I thought I was 🙁

On the way to the ER for E she got sick in the car.  Was super scared at the hospital because she didn’t know what was going on, felt like crap, and there were all sorts of people around her.  I felt so bad for her.  After a couple hours her breathing and stomach finally started to settle down.  Getting the pills in her mouth were not easy.

She seems better now.  She is still on some meds & doing some breathing treatments.  We’re not sure yet if it was allergy related or a virus.  I had asthma when I was a kid and it’s always been a concern of mine that the kids would inherit it.  I hope that’s not the case.
